Instructor: Kathy Bohn 6 Weeks Course Dates: Tuesday June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 8, 15 Time: 9:30AM-11:30AM Cost: $160 member $175 nonmember Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA Create an easy summer scene and learn the basics of creating artwork using basic shapes. Learn the concepts of light and shadow and how it turns flat 2D shapes into 3D objects. Using graphite pencils and basic tools, you will learn how to look at the world through the eyes of an artist. This will enable you to use any medium to create beautiful artworks once you understand the basic concepts of looking at objects and how they are transformed by the light in which they are presented. Kathy Bohn is a self-taught artist with 24 years of experience observing the world to create portrait commissions of people and pets. Using props and photographic reference, she has created individual and collage portraits. Kathy has been teaching different art mediums to groups and individuals for much of her career and is delighted to share the knowledge she has gained. Currently, her talents are engaged in creating gourd luminaries which she sells at craft festivals in the Berks, Montgomery, and Chester County area. Supplies needed for the basic drawing class are: One 9" x 12" Strathmore Drawing Paper Series 400 pad Faber Castell 9000 Graphite (12 pencil set -2H, F, H, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B, 8B) Kneaded erasers - 2 White plastic eraser 12" ruler Pencil sharpener 2 Sandpaper blocks 2 Art Blending Stumps One 11" x 14" Foam core board to mount paper Masking tape Tracing paper 9” x 12” Easel (optional) 2S25-BD-KB
