Instructor: Harold Gans 5 Weeks Course Dates: June 5, 12, 26, July 10, 17 Time: 9:30AM-11:30AM Cost: $135 member $150 nonmember Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA In this class we will first focus on exercises learning the techniques and possibilities using watercolor pencils. This medium entails the combined use of special colored pencils and water applied with standard watercolor brushes. The student will discover the exciting results that can be achieved with this combination. The student and instructor will select an architectural subject for the student to prepare a pen and ink drawing. The color will then be added to the finished work using the watercolor pencil medium technique. STUDENT MATERIALS LIST o DRAWING PENCILS – 4H and 2H o INK PENS – Pigma MICRON 003,005, 01, 08, Brush, Sharpie Fine and Ultra Fine, Speedball # 102 pen and ink set o WATERCOLOR PENCILS – Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils (6) o PAPER – 11” x 14” Strathmore Bristol 100 lb smooth surface o T-SQUARE – 18” plastic o DRAFTING TRIANGLES – 8” set of two ( 45 and 60 degrees, includes protractor) o RULER – 12” opaque plastic o SANDPAPER PAD if using colored pencils o ERASERS – Papermate Pink Pearl, Masters Touch Kneaded, Staedler Mars plastic, Venus/ TYP-E-RASE / No. 605 o ERASING SHIELD – ER 26 Stainless steel o MASKING TAPE – Scotch or 3M o BRUSH - 4” Horsehair 2S25-PI-RG
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space. If you cancel your class after registering and reserving a space, you will receive a partial credit good for one (1) year that can be applied to a future class. All Promo codes and Membership codes must be applied at the time of registration.
